Default Field Pod . Thinking about trying this.

I saw this Field Pod and it looked like it would be good for coyotes or if a person is sitting in a blind or something. It especially looks appealing as far as helping the kids shoot better.
I think I will give it a try. Of course 5 pounds is still a lot of extra weight to carry around ,but everything has its price.

I think it would be good as a "portable bench" for shooting practice on large tracts of land. I don't think I'd want to take it hunting with me. Seems too limiting for an unexpected shot. And, I just assume become a better shot than have to use something like that in the field.

I have one that is similar. But mine is a god bit heavier. I use it alot for varmint hunting. And yes I also use it in my ground blind whenever I am doing any long distance deer hunting(over 200 yards). For anything under 200 yards I just use my cross sticks.

And you are right about being very good for teaching kids to shoot. And steadying things up for them so they can score on game. Tom.

Have you ever considered on of them three legged shooting sticks that guides carry? They come in different lengths. One might fit your kids just fine. And it would be a lot lighter to move around.

I think that would be great for your younger children Chet. Or even a Primos tripod trigger stick.

Here's one I made from a camera tripod that I bought for about five bucks at a
GoodWill store.

Well Grouse, I'm an awesome kind of guy.

However, you will never see pictures of the many outlandish things I've tried that didn't work out so well.
