Yes it says collectors edition on the barrel. I will attempt to get a pic. It may not show up well as the barrel has a teflon (Black Ice) coating on it.

I wonder what is different about them, just doc's signature? Are they bedded and lapped by doc?
Thanks, Art

Mine is a bob bowers so it was accurized by him. I doubt that he would have done that if Doc had already accurized it, so I tend to think it is just his signature but I don't know for sure. The ones that I do have that doc accurized have his initials on them. I do know that anything he worked on he always put his initials somewhere on there.

I have two Lightings, Whitetail, Thunder, and Tominator. I'll let my kids sell them when I die as I love them all and use them often.

Cast my own .504's and 451's.

I would sell all 5 Whites one week before I died, then use the funds to chef-cater-me seven Last Suppers and seven Last Breakfasts. Eat like a King for an entire week.

Sorry kids......... you get whatever else I have left. But I will never hover over you-kids in Spirit-form, watching you argue over which one gets which White Rifle..... then probably watch all my Whites rust over a period of years of neglect.

No sireeee! Not going to get my Whites..... not over my dead body.
That's how I would handle it anyways. Very few kids today have best regards for hand-me-downs, tradition, respect and TLC, concerning anything they never purchased themselves.

My kids will be scared they will get a "ghost foot" in the butt if they didn't take care of my rifles and handguns :D I keep telling you guys, foot in the butt is absolutely THE best training method for kids! :happy0001:

If you brought them up right and showed them how to clean a gun its a non issue. My Whites are going to my sons and grandsons they are used and are hunted with every year, hopefully will after I'm gone as well.
