She's gorgeous,
I know I'll wind up getting one, one of these days. |
ok
just got this in mail and I can't get the hammer or triggers to work the hammers one clik up and the frount trigger hits the 2nd trigger (I have renagades and they dont do this) I'm not sure how much different a flintlock works inside vs a caplock...is there something I'm missing? the frount peise clicks up and down over the pan...it don't matter up or down the hammer/triggers don't work...before I call and send it back is there anything I could do or doing wrong gun looks good too:( only marks are abouve the pan

Take the lock off and see if it works when it's off of the rifle. If it does, then the screw that's in front of the trigger that holds the lock on from the other side might be too long and will need to be sanded down. Before taking the lock all the way off, back that screw out a little and see if the hammer drops when you pull the trigger.
|
I would venture to guess that the front trigger was too far forward when the lock was installed. Take the lock off by removing the screw on the left side of the rifle and pull the lock out of the recess. If you look inside the lock recess in the stock and move the rear trigger fwd and back, you will see a metal arm thru the dime size hole. Make sure the rear trigger is back far enough so that arm is at the bottom or below the hole and reinstall the lock. You should be OK then.

no marks on the wood and the blueing has one or two scraches....if I'm thinking right the set trigger should be loose not jammed forward, the screw adj the frount trigger, so the screw won't do anything....to fix this

Bronko might have hit on the head. Take the lock off.. that one screw holds it. And then let the trigger come to normal rests in their assembly. Now carefully put the lock back on. The back is the set trigger. The front trigger is the fire trigger, just like the renegades.
Also when the lock is off, you can test it to see if the lock works. **** it and then on the bottom is that little lever. Be careful that the flint don't chop a finger, but hold that and push on that lever and it should trip the hammer. |
ok so if they cleaned the lock...they may have put it back wrong...the barrels got oil on it like it was just cleaned...I've never had a lock off a gun....is it simple enough to reassemble. easy fix. I can't send it back in parts lol.....if I take the screw off theres no spring popping out lol just pulling the trigger back and lineing it up,,,,,thanks for the help...ed

ok I'll try it later what the hell I'll learn something...thanks I hope it works it would stink if I got to send it back...thanks i'll test the lock off the gun...it would be great if its a assembly problem
