I am getting ready to work up a load on my new encore endeavor and this is what I am going to try. 2 triple7 pellets for a 100 grain load, with winchester 209 primers and a 250 grain shockwave with the blue tip. What do you think of this combo or do you suggest something that might be better so I don't have to spend alot of money experimenting. I would appreciate your help and input. Thanks.

So you know: 777 pellets are rated to preform the same as Pyrodex pellets equal to between 80 and 85 gr of loose 777. Only on rare occasions are pellets as accurate as loose. You can shoot3 times with loose for the same expenditure as once with pellets. That's why with a few exceptions only beginners use pellets.

That sounds like a really good starting point. It is what I use in my Omega and it loves that load. I was using the primer adapters but I think I may go with a light 209 primer this season. I've had great results with the Vari-Flame adapters and increased accuracy. Though most of my hunting shots will be less than 100yrds I'm not sure I really need them....

My son shoots a 250 Horn XTP/short mmp sabot/110 gr's loose 777 powder.
This load has accounted for 8-9 deer ad NONE of them have gone farther than 20-30 yds!
Very effective load.
Most of his shots are less than 120 yds though.
The xtp is a terminal velocity machine!
