Default Getting ready for a good season.

About two weeks ago i finished up this shack for Rifle season in Ohio. Probably more so for January. I actually have a ladder stand right behind this shack for early season. And about 70 yards down over the hill i will put up a ladder stand and archery hunt out of it.

Yesterday afternoon i started building another one i'm going to put in the middle of a food plot. The part of this property i want to hunt has no good tree's for a ladder stand so i built another shack this weekend. I plan on plowing up at least a half acre and planting turn ups and some corn or alfalfa. I plan on putting this one about 12 feet in the air.

I built it 6x5 outside dimensions. I get the windows for free, but the wood is pretty expensive. Plenty of room for two and a heater if needed. I just like staying out of the wind.

Do you hunt the primitive season?

I wish Colorado had one. I'd sell every gun I have, and build a flintlock.

Mine wont be portable either. Going to put it about 12 feet high in the air. That's a pretty good idea though, portable shack or blind????? You really got be thinking about that one.

We can only use a Flintlock in ML season for Buck and Doe.
