harry' 460 Conical Test

Ron, another thing I find somewhat interesting is the fact that these are called a 460 but when you weighed them, they weighed 444.3 grains. I do not know why for sure but I guess I expected them to be closer to 460 grains. It really got me thinking... I was sure I had measured both Bull Shop 460 and No Excuse 460's and they were both right at 460.

The mold or the bullet realy looks like a conical that the Mountain Mold NEx would produce so when I first saw them I thought they were Bull Shops. Do you remember the color of the lube? NASA lube from Dan is Green. I can not remember what Dave's No Excuse lube looks like and right they are buried so I can not get to them.
Here is a set of pictures of the 460 Bull Shops...

I thought I had a picture of a recovered Bull Shop, recovered from the back bone area of the deer but I can not find it. It was mushroomed over a bit but had a lot of shank showing underneath.

harry mailed me the bullet; he requested i give them a test. I believe he make them. Don't know about pureness of lead, but they were easy to load; they didn't require an overly amount of force to conform to the rifling in my rifle He suggested the bullet here......

If you shoot them into something solid, they will flatten. This was shot into poplar wood. I have to agree with Sabotloader.. if they hit water, seeing the nose roll over did not surprise me at all. But I would bet if they hit say a shoulder blade or heavy bone structure, they would flatten just fine.
Also the No Excuse 460 and the Bull Shop both weigh 460 grains. I wonder if the ones in this test might not have been pure lead.
