I could really use one of those scope mounts. Where should I look for one? I tried but couldn't find one.
I bought mine from Fox Ridge Pluckit. They had two different models, one for the Renegade and one for the Hawken, and were around $30. But Fox Ridge closed up shop about a year ago. TC has a scope base made for their octagon barrels, it's part #9953. They say it fits both the Renegade and Hawken models, but I would double check that. They are $44.50 plus shipping, and can be ordered by phone from TC Customer Service at (603)-330-5659.

Not bad at all. How much do you think it will drop at 75 yards?
With it hitting just above point of aim (Target #22) I would expect it to be about dead on at 75 yards and about an inch low at 100.

Here's a trajectory study I did in 2009 at 25, 50, 75 & 100 yards with the .575 balls. As you can see, it's a pretty flat shooting load.

25 Yards

50 Yards

75 Yards

100 Yards

One question is the one that a little out of the group the 4th or the 5th shot?
That was the 4th. shot Lee. Felt like a good shot, but probably my fault.

Back in the day when I had my little black book I always pulled it out before a date
Never had one of those little black books myself Breechplug. Maybe that's why I keep good target records (subconscious substitution in my old age ). Started dating my wife when we were Juniors in high school and married her six years later. Missed out on a lot of playing around with other gals - but it hasn't seemed to hurt me much.

95grs of FFF in a .54 is a dang hot load, that's why the patches were burning...I'd bet if you tried 75 or 80grs FFF she would settle in as well...If the patches were still burning, I'd go to a thicker lube, maybe Moose Snot...I tried olive oil a few years back and found it didn't hold up as well as other lubes that were thicker...

Nice shooting Semi.....those are some pretty sisters you got there, do they get jealous of each other or do you have time to wine and dine them all? I would take one of them off of your hands if you can't find the time!!
