Electrical tape. Its cheap and works great plus you can buy the stuff just about anywhere.

Electrical tape, doesn't affect accuracy, cheap, comes off without leaving residue, and there is a roll ALWAYS in my hunting pack. I have used E. Tape to tie back branches, make quick scope covers, bandaid, Wrap shells to stop clinking, fix a broken sling, Fasten deer tags to legs and antlers, Fasten my Predator light wires and switch to gun, Wrap around pant legs to keep bugs out, removing cactus pokies, Even made a pirate patch for one eye when bored.........

I use what is called "Water Grenades". I get them at Walmart or RiteAid. They're even green or camo.
