IMO if you are going to spend $400, go up a grade and buy an Apex

Hunt12ga, have you shot the cener fire barrel? does it shoot well? That is a hell of a buy, I just checked it out on Cabela's web site. I'm thinking that one is a must look at.

Yes I've shot mine. Both barrels shoot well. The ML barrel is great. I haven't shot the .270 much (only a couple boxes) since I don't have room to play with it. I'm actually planning to get a .223 barrel for it. I had issues with the CF barrel forend lug slipping around, but I got the set screw tightened down and things are good now.

The $400 for the Apex only gets you one barrel. How much are the combos???

Paul,
In my humble opinion:
Buy a CVA Accura V1 and be done! Its twice the gun at half the price!!! Make it stainless with a black stock and the only problems you will have will be with your refrigerator as you won't have enough space to put all that venison!!!!!

Drox...now that, is a porblem I could live with!!!!!

This is just another attempt to cause a ruckus just like his topic almost a year ago when he was going by the name BIG.PAUL.

Thanks alot for the info guy's. At least now I've got something to chew on.

The best guns are the Impact and the Optima. Be sure to shoulder your choices before making a final decision, the one that fits best is often the one that will shoot the best for YOU.

Thanks Lee. What do you think of the CVA combo? Seems like a good deal to me. If the gun shoulders well I might have to go with it. I like the idea of having a single shot to start my girls out with.
