Default Impressed with the switch to Barnes,

I recently switched from XTP's to Barnes at the advice of forum members on here (thanks guys). Any I killed two does this year after switch and both went less then 50 yards and left a good blood trail. I processed one of the deer today and recovered the bullet. It looked perfect and on my cheap digital scales it weights 16 grams which converts to just under 250 grains. So it retained weight good as well. Here are a few pics I took of the finished product.

Wow... talk about perfect expansion. I happen to like Barnes Bullets. They are very accurate.

Looks just like the ads. The Barnes TMZ shoots really good out of my Pro Hunter and I can't wait to put one into a deer.

what was your powder load and at what range was the impact of the animal? i am just curious because i am wondering how much that will affect the expansion.

Yep those 45-250 MZs or the 50-275 with an average 100gr load was my favorite for years. I never had any of the MZs with a big hollow point disappoint me on a broad side shot.

I said it before and I'll say it again, I've never heard anyone complain about terminal performance from a Barnes Bullet.
