The deer was shot with my Encore and I use 100 grains of pellets. The deer was about 70-80 yards when I shot her. She was angeling away from me and I hit her just behind the left shoulder. The bullet almost passed through and was lodged between the meat and the hide on the on the right side about half way between the front and rear legs. I couldn't find an exit wound and figured the bullet was lost during field dressing. As I was skinning her out it fell out as I pulled her hide off.
I can't remember which of the bullets I am using but it is the one with the blue tip, not the hollow point. I couldn't have opened it up more symmetrically then it opened on it's own.
