The w209 is considered the hotter of the two primer with the T7 being a little cooler. It has been shown that the temperature (pressure) that a primer creates does make a difference in the T7 'crud ring' that is created.

Which powder are you using?
If it is T7 loose go with the T7 primers
If it is T7 pellets or BH start with W209's they are also the longest and might give you the best head space.
If shooting BH and the W209's do not get it done go with the CCI-209M.
Here is a primer length chart to go along with the heat chart already posted...
One thing that would really help is if you were to modify the CVA breech plug. The standard CVA plug comes with a 3mm flash channel ( the channel right under the nose if the primer leading the the small flash hole in the end of the plug) This small of a tube does not allow the primer gras to move effeciently before starting to loose heat.
Think if it this way... go find two straws a fairly skinny straw and a larger one like for milk shakes.... Fill you mouth and cheeks with water... place the straw in your mouth and bow the water out of the straws.... Which straw more effeciently empties the water in your mouth? Now imagine instead of water you were blowing heat and pressure - which opening would get more heat and pressure to the flash hole.... Next step what if you opened the flash hole a couple of thousands - ????? See what I am working to.
Questions? When you shoot your wolf with what ever primer you are using - how much blow back (soot and debris) are you getting in the breech area?

That is kinda why I asked this question... if you head space is close enough and you are not getting a lot of blow back out in the breech area - then I would use the T7 primers.
Another thing i wuld suggest is to make up some Windex patches for patching between shots at the range or while target practice. If every thing works out you should be able to 2-3-4 shots off hunting with out the patch.
If you make these up make sure they are JUST BARELY DAMP... I saturate them then press the excess out with my fingers (thumbs) and pour the excess back into the bottle...
Hope this helps....
