Then there was so little interest in the thread no solutions were ever mentioned - and the solution would have been simple. I suggest you re-read what Builder said in the first place... I know with my Omega I am sure not adjusting a firing pin bushing to make it shoot clean. It was built fairly clean in the first place. You really do like 'grasping at straws' Call you buddy at Western and have hime tell you about an Omega plug vs. and any CVA plug. |

I will have to go with CCI as I don't have a spare plug and don't know where to get one.
Naturally, i would believe this here is the best solution, when it comes to utilizing BH with the QRBP. |
SL, Tom says ALL plugs, CVA, TRADITIONS, KNIGHT, TC are having the same trouble.
Hey i got you guys a link didnt i? I swear you guys whine and claim that i make things up and once i show you, YOU STILL DO IT! :D |

The Omega and Encore plugs are probably great for BH209. The Knight Extreme/Elite with the old concave plug is 100% in my findings. |
So its basically safe to say, They all need some reworking at the factory.
The Wolf i have " actually my bro in laws" has VERY little primer blow by and fired blackhorn with W209 and cci 209m's greatly. My nephews wolf on the other hand is a good deal dirtier and his needed the .035" flash hole. I think primer fit plays an important role in weather BH209 is going to light off or not. |

The issues, i have with the Triumph plug is having to use a wrench on a supposed 'quick remove' plug, and dealing with the parts, and pieces. I have replaced the o-ring, and whilst cleaning the plug, have damaged them compression rings. |

I think what Tom might be talking about in reference to the TC Speed Breech is as builder already indicated, using the correct primer, with that plug. Because of its length cooler primer in colder weather could be a problem, creating hang fires and/or misfires. It really is not that BH is more temp sensetive than any other powder. The biggest problem is so much heat is robbed from the primer just warming the metal on the way to the powder. Part of that robbery is that the heat and pressure is unable to operate effeciently in the space provide. As with most of the current production breech plugs - they were not designed for the BH animal. Leading Western Powders to create some special rules just to get it ignited in the majority of the guns a majority of the time. Once the flash channel is opened to allow the current primers to work more efficiently and the flash hole is made to optimum size, the Speed Breech, actually any breech, can be made to function relieably with BH and still provide less blow back pressure on the primer. |
