It would depend on how hungry I was and how empty the freezer was. You ever eat back tag soup?

Food plots..... yes... we have 2 ponds fed from a natural stream coming off the mountain. Around the top pond we planted a clover mix which inturn the deer tear up. We tried a few hanging feeders in the spring but the darn bear keep getting to them. Our farm has the George National Forest on 3 sides and if you look up the forest its quite huge. We have 7 trail cams out and they have taken thousands of pics this year. It's not that were some fancy trophy only hunters but in the 5 years we owned the place we went from scrub bucks to some really nice mature deer.
I believe it's up to the hunter as whats a trophy but if ones not going to mount a inmature deer than I think a doe would be just as nice a trophy. Getting off my soap box of QDM.......Good luck everyone the rest of the season I'm heading out 2:30am back to Va.

In Tennessee, Archery season starts Sept. 25 and runs thru Jan. 9th.
- Muzzleloader and Gun season happen within this span.
- Muzzleloader season: Nov. 6th - Nov. 19th.
- Rifle/Muzzleloader: Nov. 20th - Dec. 5th then again Dec. 18th - Jan. 9th.

Bag limit is 3 deer per day. Only one of the 3 can be antlered.
You can take ONLY 3 antlered deer for the whole years season.

Needless to say hunters don't pass on many does.

My person restrictions are NO short nose antlerless deer. I don't want to shoot a yearling buck, thinking it's a doe.

NO buck unless it has a spread at least 2 inches beyond it's ears , unless it has a tall rack and i field judge it to be at least a 125 to 130.

The guys I hunt with pretty much follow these same restrictions.
