Interesting... will anything give this away?? Will the bullets not group or will they be abnormally low when compared to an equal sized bullet?
You will probably get erratic groups... but the biggest give away will be the one you alread experianced....

These things really do load easy, like so easy that I didn't even have to put the t-handle on the ramrod!! The first shot sounded funny and felt soft, needless to say I missed the paper plate sized target I was fixed on.

Its improved accuracy

You can use the TMZ Knurled bullet in a Crushrib if they shoot well for you. I shoot Barnes boat tails in a few normal sabots and they can shoot great this way. The best improvement is if the sabot is a bit too loose and you tighten them up. If the Harvesters are too loose in a Crushrib, it work fine on them too.

BH209 really likes a snug sabot and really shines with the heavier bullets too.

I broke down this morning and drove to cabelas in richfield which was the only place I knew I could get barnes tez's. Also picked up some spitfire mz's and a package of harvester high pressure sabots. I knew it was still a gamble but felt it was worth the 3 hour round trip. I am not usually the person to be this unprepared before the season but spending the last 2 months on the couch with the broken collar bone will do this to a guy.

Thankfully the gamble payed off and the tez's loaded tighter than the scorpions but not as tight as the tmz's or the shockwaves. Better still was the results downrange. A nice 3" group (with iron sights) at 100 yards. Thats with 90gr bh209 and a 250gr tez loaded with a hornady jag because that particular cabelas didn't have the barnes one. I am happy with that especially keeping in mind that at 100 yards my front bead covers up a paper plate. 100 yards is the extent of my comfort zone due in part to my shooting opportunities and in part to my aiming abilities. Not that I couldn't go further, I just haven't had enough quality time with the gun past this. I am truly a bow hunter so this should suit just fine.

Hopefully in the near future I will get time to test the high pressure sabots with the scorpions, get some harvester boat tail sabots, and try out the spitfire mz's. I am also very curious to try this knurling method that Gm54-120 has proposed. It's got me thinking. Feedback will follow.
Thanks again fellas!!
