Nice doe there - and thanks for the good story, too.
The cart looks like it really made the job a whole lot easier.
Just an idea for anyone who is interested - I have a Deer Sleigh-er that I often carry in a pack frame when I'm going to be a significant distance from my vehicle. It's a piece of flexible plastic that rolls up into a tube shape - probably about 24" wide by 6" across. It has grommeted holes along the edges to "lace up" you deer after laying it on, and a hole in the front through which the drag rope goes to tie to the neck. The front rolls up over the deer's head so it looks like a toboggan. Once it's all laced up, you can slide your rifle under the laces so you don't have to carry it while sliding the critter out. On snow it pulls as easily as a toboggan, on frost or leaves it's almost as easy, and even on dry ground it is a ton easier than dragging a deer without it.
I think there are other companies that make similar gizmos, too.
I've probably used it to drag 8-10 deer over the years and it's still in fine shape.
FWIW

I bought one of those carts and never used it. I ended up getting a 4x4 ATV and now ride in stile.

Nice doe, and thanks for the guts photo just after breakfast Ron!

I have a cart I bought from The Sports Man's Guide. I'll never drag a deer again. The cart is still work but dragging could give you a heart attack!

Congratulations. Its amazing how we can hunt for years and get shook up and still miss easy shots. I missed a turkey today while bowhunting that should of been a slam dunk but the build up too the shot was pretty exciting.
