They both do a good job, especially at long range as they hold their velocity better than most. For normal loads the regular Shock Wave works quite well, for mag loads [2000 FPS +; and very large animals over 500 pounds or heavy skinned it is better to use bonded bullets] The jacket on the bonded SW is heavier and the core is bonded to the jacket.
