They are partition.

I was sure they did make a .429/300 grain partition. I have/had a box of them around here someplace, all I can find right now are .429/250's

To me it is clear on this page that the S.H.O.T.S. are not partition bullets. It also appears the S.H.O.T.S. bullets are intended to use for practice. After seeing the web page, it would seem the S.H.O.T.S. would fly about the same as the partitions, and one could sight in a rifle for the S.H.O.T.S., and then use partitions for hunting with minor sight adjustment.
If one already has S.H.O.T.S. in possession, and is going Elk hunting in the fall, sighting in a rifle with the S.H.O.T.S., and practicing with the S.H.O.T.S. would be a smooth way to transition to the inexpensive partitions.

Nosler's Standard Hunting Or Target Sabot (SHOTS) provides the muzzleloading enthusiast with a cost-effective, multi-use blackpowder projectile. The highly accurate jacketed hollow point bullets featured in these sabots have copper alloy jackets and pure lead cores that provide tremendous shock and expansion on small game and excellent penetration for larger animals like antelope and deer.

The page you provided shows both types of packaging. One is the target/hunting handgun bullet and the other in the Gold package are Partitions. The Jim Shockey varity were and are Partitions and they were called SHOTS...
The shots I have - ten packages of them are .451/300 grain Nosler Partitions with a MMP HPH-24 Sabot.
If you look at the add it indicates:
Nosler Jim Shockey Pack
Jim Shockey 50c Shot/PHG Pack II
PHG ='s Partition Handgun Bullets
I have never seen SHOTS with just regular Nosler Handgun bullets packaged in them but Sportsman guide use to sell them but they are in a completly different package than the Shockey SHOTS....

So i guess they made both...
