Went to the local shop yesterday and saw an RCBS chronograph. I had a Rem 30-06 710 to trade off and they didnt have anything there but the Chrono and a 3-9x40 Bushnell Trophy scope. Today i went back and traded that 710 off for the scope and chrono. Im pretty happy with the deal. Scoped the new Wolf and am setting up the Chrono right now to see how it goes together.
I'll be testing American Pioneer and Blackhorn209 through it over the week.

This is a nice set up. Everything can be stored inside the tube and t he Screen you can remove, hook up the wires and bring the screen back to you at the table and watch it right from there. Also dont have to worry about sabots hitting the screen.

chrono's are a great tool if used properly. And I am sure you know what to do with one. What was the retail pirce on that RCBS chrono(if you do not mind). It looks cool. It loks like something out of the Jetsons cartoon.

Sounds like a good deal MD. I think Rem dropped the ball on those 710s and that you did right by trading it. And IMO, you can't go wrong with RCBS equipment. Now just don't go and shoot it.
I always wanted a chrono but never was commited enough to lay out the cash.
I know they provide good useful info if used properly. Maybe someday.
