Also, where did you read that about only using Federals? Certainly not in the Lehigh website about the BP conversion
I will see what Dave has to say and will let you know.

I think Grouse may be on to something.
I just tried my new Lehigh plug in my .45 and .50 Elite's and they fit fine on both. But, I previously had the Knight NFPJ installed in both and had already deepened my Knight B/P tool with a 5/16" drill...to get a full purchase on the Knight plug. I believe you will definitely need to do this to fully install the Lehigh plug.
Also, the Lehigh adapter fit on the 2 bolts was perfect.
I'll try some 209 primers tomorrow.

The 209A was the primer i recommended while testing the plugs. There is a wide variance with all the different primers. The tighter fitting primer equals less blow back with this plug. Of course your situation, i would not enjoy either. Theirs tight and to tight. Yours is to tight.

That's what i thought. I have a Knight tool that's deep. My other Knight tools are shallow. Your socket cannot be fatter then the Knight tool. Or you can just drill out your current Knight tool a little.
