The Cherokee unleashed

Well the mighty 32 cal Cherokee has been christened. It was tough handing the recoil of its monsterous 30 gr charge of FFFg. But it takes a lot of powder to force that huge 47 gr PRB down the bore.
Thank goodness the 90 bullets Semi sent me shot horribly. The best I could do with them was 3" at 25 yards. Now the RB with a .005" patch and 30 gr of FFFg seemed to be the ticket. At least at the 25 yds I was limited to today.
Here is the target and the rifle. The first 3 shots are the ones about 3" below the bull. After a sight adjustment, the other hole is from the next 3 shots.

You have to grin with a 30 grain load - can't get any more economical than that.

Thanks KB - And the the whole package is nice and light. Recoil on this rifle is about like shooting a 22 Hornet. Sort of like when someone taps you on the shoulder to get your attention. I can't wait to get my grandson out to shoot it. He will have a ball.
Semi - you send me that recipe please. You think it would work with squirrel too?
And Lee, yeah, I did notice that when I was swabbing the bore. The rod did seem to twist pretty quick. I'm going to have to measure the rate next time.
