Question from a new hunter
#1
I'm new to muzzleloading and was wondering if I could leave the pellets and bullet in the barrel for a long period of time. I'm not leaving the primer in the breach just the pellets and bullet in the barrel. I cleaned it really well and went hunting today which happens to be the last day for muzzleloading and didnt fire it. I just want to make sure it won't sieze up before I shoot it again. I know its not the safest thing but I dont have kids.

That load in a clean dry bore should not be a problem Powerstroke. What you have to be careful of is rapid temperature changes when moving a gun from cold outdoors to warm house (or vice versa) causing condensation in the bore. Run a patch down the bore with your cleaning jag. If you don't get any sign of surface rust or moisture you should be good to go. Good safety practices are in order of course - no primer, no leaning over the bore, only fingers exposed, etc. If the patch comes out a little brown, I would pull the charge.
