Default Harvester Scorpion 260 vs 300 gr??

Which would you use for whitetails out to 175 yards or so? Just wondering if I should go with the 300 for the energy retention or the 260 for the better trajectory. Give me your recommendations please.

If it was me, I'd seriously consider trying both bullets with a couple different charges, and see what your rifle likes best. It may be a little more time consuming and expense, but you'll have the satisfaction of knowing which to use.

A 200gr bullet in a 50/40 sabot. A lot of us believe that the extra velocity the good BC and SD of a 200 gr 40 caliber bullet especially the 200gr Shock Wave is the best for long range.

I currently use the 50/40 200 Shockwave in my Triumph and love it. Just looking to go with a slightly heavier bullet in my PH. Will try the 200 for sure just for giggles to see what happens.

My Endeavor likes 130 gr of Blackhorn with the 200gr SW my Triumph likes 120 gr of Blackhorn with the 200gr Shock Wave and the both like the 200gr Lehigh to. I took a nice 7 point 170 pound buck this year with the Lehigh , he was running away I shot below the kidney and behind the short ribs. Took out the liver both lungs cut through the heart and the off front shoulder. He went 25 yds and considering he skidded about half that I was pleased.
A little over 26 inches of penetration.

Where can I get some of the Lehigh bullets. Sounds like I need to give them a try as well. In you Endeavor and Triumph, what sabots are you running in each respectively. My Triumph is shooting awesome with a 200 Shockwave/Harvester CR 50/40 sabot/110 gr. T7 3f.

Default 300 Gr Scorpion

I shoot the 300 scorpion gold in front on 120 gr of BH. I am 1 inch high at 100 yards and 7 inches low at 200 out of my Knight Long Range Hunter. I used the 260 but switched to the 300. I love the scorpion bullets.

I'd shoot the Harvester 320 Hard Cast if it were up to me. but then again I have the mold for these and it is all I shoot with sabots. My brother harvested a nice 9 pt at 236 yards with one and he sights 2" high at 100 and it hit 6" low at a laser measured 236. He is driving them at 2000 fps. a load equivalent to 120 of BH209.

I used the Scorpion pt gold 260/45cal with the crush ribbed sabot, with 777 loose this year for the first time. They shot better out of my ph than anything i have tryed.4 deer all perfect shots, the farthest shot was only 100 yards. But i will use them from now on.Never recovered a bullet.Glad for the good shots, but would have liked to see one.
