Default Ohh my god i left gander happy twice in one day.

Ok i went into gander to check prices on the powder and sabots. First thing i did was look at the price of the triumph they told me 500 then saif 575. The tag on the gun said 525
Ok who cares i ordered mine. I looked at the stuff i needed The powder was 24.99 for the 777 both loose and 100 pellets. called walmart. They wanted 29.00 for the loose and 31.00 for the pellets. Wow gander is cheaper. Ok shockwave sabots. Gander wanted 14.99 walmart was 12.00 ok i can deal with 3 bucks. So i bought the pellets and the sabots. I also bought some foaming bore cleaner cleaning tips bullet starter small cheap stuff. The guy at the firearms desk said he used 150 grains for long 150 yard shots or longer 100 for shorter 100 or so and less. He said he used the pellets that they where only a few cents more each. Ok i bought the pellets i figured for a few dollars by the time i bought the flask and so on it would be cheaper and easier for the pellets.
Well i left happy got alot of help and if they did not know they said so. When i was headed to school i noticed the pellets where net weight 6.9 oz. WHAT that more then twice the money then loose powder. DAM they ant going to exchange powder says so on the shelf. Well i told my self call they might. I called told the woman what i needed to do she connected me with the ifrearms desk. I told him it was my fault and i understand if you say no but i would like to exchange the pellets for powder. He said gander mountain's policy is no exchange or returns on powder pellets or primers. I said what if it is still sealed. He said well i could get in trouble but bring it in today and I will exchange it. NO crap gander really wants to take care of me this time. I went back in exchanged it no proplems. Honestly i was surprised they did it. There may be a hope for them yet.

Yeah I bought some T7 pellets from a local gun shop I've dealt with several times but they don't know me by any means. I've never bought a gun or anything big from them either just a lot of small $20-30 items but it all adds up. Anyway, I bought some T7 pellets then realized I wanted Pyrodex ones. I know other places wont exchange usually but I called and they told me as long as they were still sealed they would. Made me really happy. Customer service like that is what keeps a customer.

I use the pellets due to ease of use and the fact that my guns are sighted in for them. However, I wouldn't mind switching to powder just because it's soo much cheaper. I just had to have to re sight it in even if it's slightly and it seems like a lot more of a hassle when hunting with it than carrying two pellets.

However, I may end up switching to powder myself.

As for Wal-Mart being higher that's been my experience too. Wal-Mart is usually by far the cheapest out of any place I've checked for almost all gun stuff. However, their muzzle loading stuff seems high. The cheapest place I've found the Powerbelt bullets I shoot was $17.99 for 20 bullets at Dicks. They are like $19 or something for either 18 or 16 bullets I can't remember which but it's a smaller pack at Wal-Mart. The gun store is $20 for 20 bullets. With pellets the pellets are several dollars cheaper at the gun store also. They are a little cheaper than Wal-Mart at Dicks but not as cheap as the gun store. I don't know why Wal-Mart is high on BP stuff. Regular ammo they seem to be the cheapest usually.

FRom what i am being told the FFFg t7 is hotter and should be 130 grains. I may switch to pellets but i figured for how much i will shoot it will be worth measuring it out.

When I shoot sabots, I shoot FFg Triple Seven. When I shoot conicals, I shoot the FFFg sometimes. With Triple Seven I have been having such good luck with the FFg powder I do not think I will be getting anymore of the FFFg.
