My hunting buddies use the 240 XTP exclusively now for at least 6 years. Between them, they've probably taken 25+ deer. One uses 80 grains 777, the other 90 grains 777 with this bullet. I can only remember 2 deer shot that they didn't recover- both times it was a called bad shot. Other than that, mostly bang-flops, with the occasional deer that would run 40 yards or so before keeling over. Ranges for kills were 20 - 150 yards. Can't ask for much more than that!

Where would i find what velocities a certain bullet would expand for deer? I looked on the Hornady website but couldnt find this information..
