I'll second Spaniel's suggestion that you check out the X7. I like mine a lot. It's a great walking around/tree stand gun. The peep sight beats any other iron sight by a mile.

I have zero complaints with my Omega and if it were stolen or somehow damaged in a freak accident, I would get another Omega. Very accurate and reliable.

The point about using the Omega for open sights is well made, the stock on the omega is designed for open sights while the stock on the Triumph is designed with a high comb for scopes and is difficult to shoot open sights with.

You X7 guys (Semisane and Spaniel) neglected to mention that the X7 is no longer offered by T/C

However, there are TWO on Gun Broker right now at very good prices. That's where I got mine and couldn't be happier.

Thinking seriously about the X7 one by me for $367 less another 10% off. That sounds like a pretty good deal. Laminate stock with a blue barrel. Guys how good is the acuracy with that peep site and short barrel. How far can you group them with that open site? I just don't know if that or the regular Omega would suit me better. I will say that the X7 felt great on the shoulder being so compact. I liked it.

Gosh Tribil, the answer is so obvious I'm surprised you haven't tripped over it.

Get the X7 now while you can (you know you like it) and get the full size one for Christmas.

Here is a group from an X7 fired at 99 yard with the factory supplied 'closed' sight.
