On the Remington Core-Lok bullets I believe the caption read..."The most dangerous mushroom in the woods" Or something close to that. Barnes should show your expanded bullets with the caption "Barnes MZ...the deadliest flower" or "Barnes MZ....the flower of death" |

Some like the copper bullets some don't think that they are any better than a good bonded. I think all will agree that the price on that one is out of line, look what you are paying for the brand name. Lee

If you need to shoot them, buy them from Barnes.
24 for $28.95. Steve |
I don't buy that study. I'm trying to remember now but I recall reading a pretty good explanation of why it was discredited.
Besides, I tend to shoot my deer under the shoulder blade through the ribs, not really any meat there to begin with which is why I do it....explain to me how I'm going to get lead into the back quarters of the deer and the upper shoulders when the meat is on the outside of the body cavity??? The bullet does not explode into a cloud of powder inside the animal. |
i believe that the lead problem is with high powered center fire rifles ..when the bullet is not bonded u will get a lot of lead particles inside the body cavity ..i am not worried with the ML . also i use BARNES expanders mz only when i am hunting ..

The bullet does not explode into a cloud of powder inside the animal. There was nothing discredited in this study. There was, however, policy changes made. This all came about because the state tested venison donated through 'Sportsmen Against Hunger', and found it contained lead. One of the changes made is they will not accept animals shot through the hind quarters, which, i am sure you will agree, is a good thing.
