I was givin a Rossi muzzleloader with a 20" barrel. It has a 1-28 twist. This is my first time using this muzzleloader. Is there a powder grain, bullet weight and distance I should start with?
I've shot other muzzleloaders a few times but am still just begining. Thanks for any advice.

An easy starting point would be the 240 grain Hornady XTP in the supplied sabot over 80 grains of Pyrodex RS. Sight in for "dead on" at about 15 yards, then move out to 50, then 100 yards.
