converting #11 nipple to musket cap
I HAVE AN LK93 KNIGHT .50 CAL. AND WONDERED IF YOU CAN SIMPLY CHANGE NIPPLES TO CONVERT TO A MUSKET CAP? I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IGNITION USING 2 50 GR. PYRODEX PELLETS BUT UNDERSTAND THE MUSKET CAP IS HOTTER. ANY ADVISE APPRECIATED.

Probably. Contact Knight about the avaiability of the nipple you want!! I have found that musket caps are not hotter than CCI No. 11 Magnums. BUT, if you want HOT, go to a No. 209 shotgun primer. Now those ARE HOT!!

I don' t know about converting your Knight to a musket cap. www.midsouthshooterssupply.com sells conversion kits for Knight rifles.Converting to the 209 primer.If you' re interested check it out.

Hi loner ,
if you' re not having ignition problems then why convert ? If it ain' t broke don' t fix it . Going to a hotter cap won' t improve performance if you' re already getting reliable firing . I shoot CCI #11 caps , and I' ve never had a misfire with them .
