The dialing in process might be a little costly and it is certainly not a "play" load, but as a hunting load if it equals dead deer at the end of the day with minimal tracking then it's $ well spent. That mushroom looks awesome.

I've been wanting to try those since they first came out. I dont mind spending the money if they are accurate. Theres no doubt about how they will perform on game. Hell, i'd be comfortable with the 250gr Thor on elk.

There are 3 current bullets from Thor- 247 gr hollow point "Colorado" bullet, meets the 2x lenght requirement. 250 gr. ballistics tip that is recommended for Elk and smaller, has excellent penetration, 300 gr. hollow point for tough game. Accuracy 1" or < 100 yards. 5.5" group at 300 yards. goto www.thorbullets.com to see animals taken with Thor bullets and the CVA Electra.

They are no higher than Powerbelt bullets (copper plated lead) and they have great penetration and terminal damage and are all copper. See website, all animals were shot with Thor bullets and a CVA Electra. Thor ships free size samples for the person to determine proper bullet for each gun. Accuracy is good less than 1" groups have been common with the bullet. The cup/skirt is tough enough for use in Savage ML, Ultimate and other magnum muzzle loaders.

I just received a sample pack from them today. Neat looking bullet. Im still concerned with how tough the cup walls will stand up to possibly being dropped and the walls bending. They sent me 4 bullets; one of each diameter to see which one works best.I may get out and try them this weekend.

There are some inconsistencies in there advertising it does not say the trophies were actually shot with a muzzle loader or what load or what bullet. The suggestion because they are on the Thor page is that they were taken with Thor bullets. But knowing how often we are hoodwinked with advertising I doubt any thing that is not stated. What are the recommended loads? Where are the size to brand recommendations? Looks to me like these boys need to do their home work. Lee

I got mine today and tested 2 of them. They look to be real winners so far. I will need to order some .500" Thors so i can sight in one of my rifles and see how accuracy is. My sand trap didnt stop the bullet, nor did the cedar log i shot into.
