Any starting load suggestions?
Gonna try and get out tomorrow with a couple rifles. The 54 Renegade is going to get some PRB action and the 1:28 GM LRH stainless 50 will get some 300 gr saboted bullets in both 44 and 45 cal.
But the Knight I'm not sure what I want to shoot in it. Judging by the stamping on the barrel, I am pretty sure it has a GM barrel on it (the GM logo is stamped on the barrel) so I am guessing it is also 1:28 or maybe even faster.
Anyone have any suggestions.
My powder choices I have are T7 (2F), Pyro Rs & P, and BP FFg and FFFg.

RE: Any starting load suggestions?
I've got a Knight Disc that I bought new about 8 years ago...I've shot it about 5-600 times...
With the Pyrodex R-S it likes a 250 T/C Shockwave and 90grs of powder...
or...100grs of the Pyrodex and the 300gr Barmes M-Z...
I shot the former for 3-4 years and killed 8-10 deer with and have killed about the same with the Shockwave...I prefer the Shockwave when field hunting as it shoots flatter...
In the .54 Renegade, for targets 50grs or so...Deer hunting 75-100 grs of the Pyrodex...

I have ended up with 110 gr loads in the Renagade for PRB and with most of my sabot loads in both the Knight and the TC's with both RS and 777 with BH in the inlines anything from 115 to 135 seems to shoot good. Lee

My last 54 Renegade (now owned by a forum member) loved 80 gr of FFg with a .530" PRB and .015" patch.
Woke up this morning to a heavy fog. So I figured I would do some painting until it lifted. Well it was 4:00 by the time I got done and I was too beat to go shooting. Some day I'll get out.
