It took almost 3 weeks for my order to get filled but it finally came. I went shooting today with a variety of bullets. My experience after one round of shooting is that Im very impressed. I started out with 270 platinum powerbelts. At 80 yards my first 2 shots were 2 inches high which is what i expected since this is the bullets i shot last year. the 2 shots were almost in the same hole. Shot 3 was same heigth but 1 inch to left. Next I tried Harvester scorpion pt. All 3 were within an inch of each other but slightly left of where I was aiming.Next 3 dead centers bullets; barely above my aiming point but still within an inch of each other. I never swabbed between shots but did allow my gun to cool between shots. This is by far the best shooting I have ever done. I loved this powder so far. The only complaints I had were the small clumps of powder that would come out of the bottle while trying to load my powder measure. The clumps would crumble pretty easily but I had heard that this was a problem with the old mag 3. The other is that it is mighty expensive. I liked this powder for the most part much better then pyrodex. Some guys here would consider this just average shooting but for a guy that flinches like crazy this is good shooting.I used 100gr equiv on all my shots.

Thanks for the repart - I have been waiting for some to shoot the new stuff. I really wish you had not seen any clumps though.
Hope you shoot more with the new XP and hope you let us know how it goes..
thanks

I have heard a bit about this new Black Mag XP, but i do not know what is true and what is not. They are supposedly coming out with a usable pan powder. and since I like it for my PRB guns my biggest complaint is you never know if you can get any tomorrow. Lee
