Lane.....
No more work on the Ruger for me. I got it shooting BH209 and found the sweet spot for it....110gn BH / 300 .458 Remington HP / CCIm. Shoots 1" @ 100. My Son wanted it real bad so he now owns it. I took the money and got me another TC Hawken....Been busy shooting round balls this summer.

I used the original plug....Drilled out the flash hole from .028 to .035 and switched to CCIm primers. No more blow back than before. The primers occasionally separate, but pose no safety issues. It's still hanging in my gunroom and I still shoot it. My son only shoots just before and during hunting season. It's a better quality rifle than my Triumph and just as good as my Savage. If my son ever wants to get rid of it , it's mine again. Are you doing any shooting this summer? I was hoping to draw on an Antelope permit this year but no luck on it or the Elk permit. I'm hitting all the ranches around here trying to get permission for the upcoming hunting season. I've had some luck for a good Mulie hunt but no luck on a decent place to hunt Whitetale. In the meantime I'm serving the Lord every chance I can.
