Well only 2 weeks til the draw for prairie elk. You can only apply if you haven't had a elk tag in the previous 9 years. If i am successful( big if) then this is probably the gun I will use for the hunt, along with 120 gr 777 and either a Barnes TMZ 290 gr or a Shockwave 300gr. Either one should bring an Elk to standing stop. I will have to take the scope off my Omega and put it on here. The scope is a Nikon Omega with bdc. If I don't get an Elk tag for either the August or Sept. hunt then I guess I can wait til deer season.

Chet, that is one sharp lookin rifle.Be sure to post a pic with the scope on it. I hope you get drawn for that tag.I worked with a logging contractor, years ago ,who would brag that he got drawn
