Very nice! You might want to try 100g of powder instead. That seemed to be the sweet spot for my Genesis when I had it.

Looks like a sabot change should fix you right up. I would try the short black harvester or the short black mmp. The XTP is a very good bullet for a Muzzleloader.

I use the Harvester sabot in my Genesis for the best accuracy. Also strange as this might sound, two Pyrodex pellets seem to be a sweet spot in mine. That is some good shooting through, and a little tweeking and you might even improve it more.

Them Genesis are a good rifle. I sure am glad I purchased one when I had the chance.

I know it's different, but my buddy uses the green crush rib Harvesters out of his with the .44cal XTP's and he gets excellent accuracy at 100 yards.

Thanks stretch56 for the field test information. I have a new Genesis still in the box and was wondering how they shoot. Cayugad, what manufacturer and weight of bullet are shooting out of your Genesis?

If you feel like trying something new, give Hornady FPBs a try. Like Powebelts, they are a full-bore jacketed conical with ballistic tip. They have a large hollow base, not a plastic base like Powerbelts.

I shoot FPBs over 100 gr loose Pyrodex in my Genesis with good results. I'm curious to know what other folks can get them to do, especially with BH209.

Stretch - I honestly believe your Genesis can do much better than that. I don't mean to put your shooting ability down. It just that several of us on this forum have Genesis and once their sweet spot is found, you will be shooting cloverleafs at 50 yds provided you do your part.
My Genny likes 100 gr of Pyro P and a 300 gr .430" XTP with the Harvester green CR sabot.
A little more experimenting and you will do fine.

I've shot a lot of different things out of the Genesis so far. The most accurate of all are the 250 grain Barnes MZ Expanders with two pyrodex RS pellets. At 63 yards they shot a three shot .471 group. Considering the bullet is .452, I can live with that. I bought these off a web site under the Traditions name, which makes the Yukon (the same rifle).

The rifle also shoots 250 grain Shockwaves real well. And in a green harvester crushed rib sabot, a 300 grain Hornady XTP with 100 grains of Pyrodex RS. Another accurate load was 110 grains of Blackhorn 209 and the 250 grain .452 Lehigh bronze HP in a Harvester sabot. The 200 grain Shockwaves with two Pyrodex pellets also shot well. (I am going through my note book) Even the .40mm 200 grain XTP in a blue MMP sabot did real well with 100 grains of Pyrodex RS.
