I always felt that the XTP was an under rated bullet by many. They want to spend big dollars on other projectiles. And not that the others do not work fine, but that kind of damage would stop a lot of animals. My Genesis likes the 300 grain as well.

Congratulations to your buddy on a great shot and a nice hog. Some good eating there I bet.

For sure! No doubt the XTP did a fine job. I've got a box of .45 cal XTP's that I may give a try on hogs and maybe deer as well.

It's good we don't have pigs around here, the deer do enough damage but I would love to be able to hunt some pigs without having to empty out the checking account.

250 gr .452 XTP's have worked great on several PA deer. It's my cheap practice bullet and the go to bullet when I need to start from scratch shooting in a muzzleloader.

I haven't had a chance to use the 300 gr XTPs on a deer or a bear yet. But looking at that wound channel I ain't worried about how they will perform. Congrats to your friend on the hog and good report.

I haven't had a chance to go after another hog yet. They went nocturnal after Anthony shot his. And that boar I'm after is still only coming out after dark. I have to figure out a way to get him to come out during the day. I think I'll just leave that area alone for a while and see what I get on the trail cam. I'll just take some time to work on my food plot for deer season.

I ran out of FPB's trying to dial in the Endeavor to an acceptable level. The thing has been giving me fits lately. I just ordered 2 more packs of them so hopefully by the time I get them I'll be ready to shoot another hog.
