is now 225-250 yards.

The "red" sabots... are they the supplied sabot with the 250 SW/SST ?

What was your load and bullet?
Gun: CVA Magnum Hunter
Bullet: 250 grain SST/Shockwave in red sabot
Powder: 140 grains of Goex Pinnacle 3F
Primer: Winchester shotgun

The "red" sabots... are they the supplied sabot with the 250 SW/SST ?
This was the Hornady SST with their low drag sabot.

That's pretty good shooting. I have a hard time making a shot at that distance on something 3 times that size standing perfectly still ,broadside and just waiting for me to aim.Congrats

Good shooting. What a bloddy mess that hog is. I guess that's where the term "bleeds like a stuck pig" come from.
I watched my friend shoot a whitetail doe at about 125-150 yds with a T/C Hawken flinter with a GM LRH barrel using a 275 gr Maxihunter and 100 gr of FFFg. And made a perfect heart shot to boot. And knowing how well he shoots, it wasn't a lucky shot.
