Thanks for the pics. As usual i cant figure it out. In your opinion Underclock, is it a better design then the Encore? It sure looks like it. CVA now has a descent barrel and a good/well built Muzzleloader??? RW is probably speechless.

Could this be theend of the Encore????? Pretty soon T/C will only be selling the Triumph. LOL

Have to admit I'm biased toward Knight and T/C. But that looks like a quality MZ. And if it's capable of9/16" groups at 100 yds.... I need to take the blinders off.
UC: Is your's a .45 ?Or are you shooting the 50/40 blue MMP ?

MD,
Cool looking piece. I like the looks of the stock. I also know what you mean about the balance. They feel real nice coming up. To me it's a good bang (?) for the buck (?).
Good luck!

guys i uploaded a crap load of pics but theres no way i am going to copy the pics back onto here. this place uses http vs img. so i'd have to recopy all of the links and this forum always times out on me for some reason.
But here are the pictures,
http://thepowerbeltforum.powerguild....eport-t535.htm
The 245 and 338gr powerbelts today @ 100 yards were printing 3" groups. Not to shabby for my first time out with a 1 day old rifle
I need to get muzzleloading primers and see how they will do. Federals do ok but theres always room for improvement. Tomorrow i am going to try the cci 209m primers.

Iron sights - fiber optics at that - ???? You ought to be grinning like Joe Biden in front of a camera.

Grouse, I think it's an excellent rifle - and if all anyone wants is a muzzleloader (with no interchange feature) I would recommend it over an Encore any day of the week. The Encore is perhaps built with more solid material in the action area but lockup is actually tighter in the alloy receiver of the Accura. The Accura trigger is superb right out of the box, it comes with a nice little hammer extension included, and the Accura barrels I've seen have all been consistently excellent.
The Accura buttstock looks a little goofy, IMHO, but so does the factory Encore stock. Fit of the Accura stock is much better for my frame.
If the Apex EVER gets into production/delivery stage, that rifle will be a more direct competitor with the Encore as a utility rifle.

I really think that Apex would be worth waiting for (at this point), especially if you like the idea of barrel interchange.
UC: Is your's a .45 ? - No, both of mine are .50 caliber
Or are you shooting the 50/40 blue MMP ? Mine are both currently sighted in with 90 grains BH209 (60.6 grains weight), 300 grain XTP in black crushed rib sabot, Win209. I'll probably re-sight one of them with the blue MMP and 200 grain .40 XTPs. That will be a very easy thing to do as the groups simply move straight up or down with weight change.
