alcohol stain like birchwood casey walnut - rusty walnut or one of the laurel mountain forge stains from www.trackofthewolf.com
i always use truoil on the stock too but there are many others out there that will do the job. I chose a hand rubbed oil finish which took me months to apply due to the process.
