Lyman 54 (Cabelas)
I kinda wanted a 54 rounball barrel for my renegade but couldn't find one. I ran across this rifle at a good price (130.00 delivered)and thought I would give it a try.
Did anyone ever see one like this ? I tried to measure the twist and I keep coming up with 1/2 turn in 26" which would be 1:52 ?????
It looks like it would be heavy on the front end but really balances good and shoulders really nice LOP is 14"
I shot it about 15 times so far with 80gr. pyro P and 90 gr. pyro P, seemed to like the 90 gr. a little more 2.5" at 50 yds. I think I should get a little better with a little experimenting.

RE: Lyman 54 (Cabelas)
The Cabela's has a 1-47 twist (we call it a 1-48) and it is made by Investarms. This is the same company that makes a Lyman. Its basically the Trade Rifle. They are good shooters.
Also my Trade Rifle is a powder hog. Try 100-110 grains of 2f powder and a .530 patched roundball and see what you think of that. With 100 grains mine shoots real good although I normally shoot 90 grains.
