Nice grouping with your flinter. My 54's always did well with either 80 or 90 of 2F. A larger touch hole will cause you to flinch a bit moreand will also delay the ignition a bit. The important thing is to pay attention to your flint in that it maintains its edge andalignment in the jaws in relation to the frizzen. You do not want to put too much primer in the pan that it covers the vent.You dont want the priming power to have to burn down to the ventbut rather fire directly into it. Too much powder in the pan will delay ignition. Its a great pastime, Ive been flinching for 30 years. LOL.

That's some pretty good shooting. I do my best shooting when I just go out to have fun
