Thanks for all the kind words guys. It was alot of fun to do that in the off season. Aside from some more projects, Turkey season will start in a couple weeks in Pa.

Shotgun only in the spring here in Pa. I will slow the bullets down at the range.

That's a good question. What i have found is BH209 shoots better the more powder you use. I actually thought it was Lehigh bullets at first. But that wasnt the case, it's the powder. BH209 shoots better the more you use. That point is between 130 and 135grns by volumewith 250grn bullets.

I was shooting 140grns out of my 45 Knight Disc Elite with awesome accuracy. Sub 1" at 100yds consistently in the winter. You need to be carefull as it gets warmer out. That much powder heats the barrel pretty fast and softens the sabot. When that happens the accuracy suffers. Smokeless powder users are more familiar with this. Not an issue at all hunting.

The reason i didnt use 140grns in my 45caliber with the 200grn bullet was laziness. I agreed to supply all powder and bullets for the other two hunters for my testing. I shot there guns in and everything so there were no excuses. so i just weighed out 130grns by volume for all of us. The Triumph shot the worst 100yard group with the Lehigh and that was 1". The Knight Vision was like one little hole. Pretty neet for a $175.00 Muzzleloader.
