RE: Whats happening to this forum

I signed up on Huntingnet.com because of this forum only a short time ago. Before I started reading posts on here I was a ML virgin. I decided to get into inline muzzleloading for a change and thanks to those on this board I have been able to gather a wealth of information. When I eventually turn to a traditional rifle I know I can turn to the people on here for advice. As of now, I mostly read the posts and I am able and willing to sort out the info or arguments that are of negative nature. Hopefully someday I will be able to return the favor to a ML newcomer and the ML community in general by sharing my experiences.

From what I have experienced, this forum is not nearly as bad as many forums, no matter what the topic, in regards to trash talking, vulgarity, and lack of respect. I think most on here have a respect for each other and an understanding that everybody has different opinions. They also understand that in Muzzleloading that what worksi for one gun doesn't work for another. For example, I have read many posts where cayugad will mention that one of his guns really likes the .430 XTP in a green CR sabot. As far as I have seen, he has never said that it is the best load ever invented, just that it might be worth a try. That is just one example.

I have thouroughly enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy this forum. Yes, at times the connection speeds are slow but I am not that impatient I guess. I believe I have probably saved hundreds of dollars by taking advice on here. Somebody else has made mistakes or learned lessons that I can learn from.

This is a long post but my simple point is that even though there are some undesirable posts or replys on here occaisionally, the benfits outweigh them by a long shot.

Outstanding post! Those are my sentiments on this forum exactly. You worded it better than I could have.

hey guys!
as most of you who recognize my name here know,I very seldom post anything.
However I have to echo muzzlenuts post with a big +1 ,because I read this forum
whenever I have the time. I can honestly say I learned more about our sport here
than I have anywhere. So when some of these folks talk ,I listen. But when blowhards
get windyI take it with a grain of salt. Thanks to ALL who I have learned from.
Visiting this site is like visiting GOOD FRIENDS
