I gave up! The first one I got had a bad breech plug. It felt like i was cutting threads on the way out with the breech plug. Both the plug barrel were messed up. New breech plug did not cure it. The second one the breech plug was fine but when the action was opened, the barrel wobbled all over.
I really liked the way the thumbhole stock fit when I put it to the shoulder, and how the light the trigger was. I an a lefty(only when I shoot) so the ambi stock was great. Now I am wondering about all the stuff I have heard about CVA and Quality is true. I have a Kodiak Magnum and only have about 20 rounds thru it. I notice when pushing a patch thru the bore at about 6-12 inches from the breech, it loosens up then gets tighter as I get closer to the breech. Kinda makes me worried that the barel is slightly bulged in that spot. (I never shot more than a 2 pelet load in it.) Does any one else have this problem?
Kinda wish I still worked in QC at the machine shop cause I could take an air gauge and measure it.

Well I would mail the rifle back to them and ask CVA to check the rifle over. Many times these rifles are not given a final inspection. Most of the reports on the Accura I have read have nothing but praise for the fit, finish, accuracy, and the rifle over all.

I already paid for the gun(TWICE) and did not want to send it back on my dime.
How many of you would pay extra for something because the company had poor quality control? I would be paying more for the gun to ship it back and forth and I wanted to pay the advertised price for the rifle not MORE. I really liked the rifle, but was not willing to take a third chance on questionable quality.
I just purchased a Knight Vision to replace the 2 cva's (thank to you guys on the board for pointing it out) and the fit and finish seem to be good. I admit I was holding my breath and keeping my fingers crossed because the price was less than the CVA Accura. The trigger is as light as the CVA's if not lighter. Just mounted the scope and am rounding up stuff to go to the range.

On the first one I had called CVA and they would not send a shipping label or pay for shipping. On the second one I did not even bother with CVA but returned it to the company that I got it from. They gave me no problems and did not even question if it was bad, they just send a shipping label. and paid for it.
I find it hard to believe that only one person at CVA can take care of problems THE WAY EVERYBODY Should.
Never is a long time and I will never try another CVA product because of the level of frustration and dissapointment of not getting a quality product as advertised(not once, but twice) and the unwillingness of the customer service person to do what was proper.
on a happier note, my us made product is as advertised and actually shoots great.

i do believe a forum member here had a triump barrel split open, then the new rifle they sent him he said was in worse condition. You cant act like only one company does this.
I had to pay shipping for my tc hawken when it needed repair.
