Default Some shooting with the Mtn. Stalker

Got the bore all cleaned up a few days ago, it was fouled with lead badly. I was able to push all 3 bullets down the bore today with thumb pressure and accuracy was excellent. I should have popped a couple caps to foul the bore, my first shot was off badly (probably from the bore being so slick!!) but my next 2 shots showed me that i had one hell of a shooter. I was shooting 100gr Pyrodex RS, my custom tipped 348gr ( 362gr total) Powerbelt @ 100 yards. The suicide trigger again keeps scaring the hell out of me but its helped eliminate shooter error.

I also have a package of 338gr Platinums coming in that i look forward to testing.

Just finished cleaning the rifle and will load up 3 more loads and hopefully redo the 3 shot group tomorrow. Also adjusted the sights 1 notch up. That should have me close to being dead on.

First shot hit the right corner of the box * big rip*

nice two shot group. And you're right.. you need to bring that rear sight up a little.. good luck tomorrow shooting. I have a mountain stalker also, but I shoot roundball out of mine.

Hey Devil, just how do you manage to stop after two shots. I can't do that.

I took 3 shots. See that big hole in the side of the box? Yep, #1 shot on a super clean barrel.

I recently cleaned all of the lead build up out of the barrel and it took off. I got everything adjusted now. May have to adjust windage tomorrow.

I'm not shooting this week end - crawfish boil at my brother-in-law's. Shoot three more for me.

Didn't get out today. The wind was bad so i figured i'd just sit on it until the wind is in my favor. It did give me a chance to clean up my shooting area and pile up a big flat area to sit my sand box on. I am hoping that tomorrow will be the day.
