offtopic but not. follow up to my dial up rant
came home from work went to connect to the internet. nothing. would not connect.
I got pissed off, and went to an local wireless carrier and got wireless hi speed. damn it, loads so fast to what I was use to. use to be able to watch tv or play nascar 09 until the page was fully loaded.

Part of that new stimiulus package (about 7 billion) is going to fund broadband connections for the US. They want to work on getting that in rural areas first is my understanding.
