With the season over almost a month ago I thought I would be through the withdrawals but unfortunately that isn't the case.
I am tired of punching paper so I made myself a round ball target today. We'll see how long it takes to get accurate at 25 and 50 yards. i plan on using my 54 cal. Lyman GPR 1:60 and my 50 cal. T/C Hawken with the Green Mountain barrel 1:70 twist. I know all you wood workers will groan and flinch when you see my handi-work but I hate building stuff unless it is a necessity.
Let the fun begin!!

I used to shoot at an indoor archery range in Rapid City, SD. It was only about 30 -40 yards long. Guys there ( not me ) would get bored with drilling the center of the target so they would hang a ping pong ball from a string and hit it.
That wasn't hard enough so they would put a fan on the ball and get it swinging and still hit it on a regular basis.

I lean against a tree when I hunt and shoot..... that's it. We hunt on state land and constantly move to new spots. No time for blinds beyond Day-3 of Opening Day and hardly ever get a deer afterwards.
So my trips to the range see me shooting unassisted most times. Breathe deep and stay calm.
Now you know why I never post my targets here. If I stay in a five inch target circle that day @ 50 yards, I'm ecstatic. No benchrest - no sandbags, unless I'm sighting-in a scope or rear sight.
