I only care about one of the variables mentioned, penetration.
I'm shooting 50 cal bullets (FPBs), and I don't care if they don't expand.You really don't need expansionwhen a bullet starts out at 50 cal.
Iwant to get a pass-through and in my "field tests" FPBs are 3 for 3 so far.

Ballistic jell is supposed to be the best, I have never tried it it seems so simple to take some long narrow boxes out to my own hunting property where the sandy loam is 10 feet deep and fill them up and do the shooting right there.
I have sand and gravel as well as regular top soil in places I tried them all and the sandy loam is what appeared to me to be the most similar to flesh. Lee
