MD - I have a couple now. But I always drool over a nicely grained stock. And that bugger you got is really pretty.

well it sure isnt pretty with a double patch! Kind of mad that i wasted the powder today.

I am cleaning the rifle now and then will try my regular soft lead round ball load with double patch.

yup the ol'54.

That target above was with wheel weight .530 balls and a double patch (one as a buffer) Didnt like that double patch at all.

Heres with the soft lead .530 balls i make from my recovered powerbelts. #1 was a hangfire due to me not drying out the breech good enough. I had to pull the nipple and dribble some powder into the drum. 2 and 3 are what i'd call perfect.
Bad glare off of my front sight so i am going to shoot in the evening tomorrow.

think i found a problem with the balls. Some were as big as .534"

I sorted them out, anything bigger than .531" went into my *to melt* box. I have 3 speedloaders ready to go with the .530 wheel weight balls and 80gr pyrodex. I will double patch these again to see how they do tomorrow. Probably should have weighed them too but, i just use these for plinking.
