After looking at your thumbhole stock, I still am not sure I like them. They look like they would be very comfortable off hand shooting, but maybe just not for me. Maybe I shot the old standard too long to change..

WV, the wood on that one looks good. Glad to see you got a good copy. I got a bad one the first time I ordered mine and had to send it back. That looks nice!

I totally agree with you cayugad Mine came on Wednesday
Between work & the ice storm I haven't got to shoot it yet but I picked it up several times & played with it. After shooting a standard style stock for 40 plus years Its hard to get use to.
I think you answered this question for someone else but I cant find it any where in the recent forums. What rings & bases did you order & where did you get them for your Genesis. I remember you said you got a set of high rings to allow for the torch cam.
I think I'm going to go with another Nikon Pro staff 2x7 scope. Haven't decided what color to get yet first I thought the silver to match the stainless steel barrel then after looking the gun over maybe the matte color one will be alright with the trigger & hammer Assembly & the ramrod that color

Stretch56 - I got the high rings.. correct. I ordered them from Traditions Arms and their stock number is # A1789. They work real good and when you pull up, you fit the height perfect for me...

I have a thumb hole stock on my Encore I really like it on that gun it puts my face in the right place. I hated the standard stock that came with it.
